Great course
Great ideas. Hope they work.
Good for Beginners
It was really insightful. I found out about some programs and tactics that I had not concideredin the past. It’s a good class for someone new to marketing digital products.
I've now written three eBooks!
I enjoyed the course and learned a lot about various free platforms and of course marketing. It’s a great class for the absolute beginner.
Eye-opening Information
I signed up for this course because I’d like to begin writing and creating a source of passive income for myself. I’ve been reading ebooks for years via ibooks, email, and definitely Kindle. While I think that Mr. Shea has done a FANTASTIC job of really covering the types of topics for the aggressive marketer, I think that I was more drawn to the actual process of finding the niche and really learning how to discover worthy topics for ebooks. He gives his students a copy of his own ebook for us to use as inspiration and an example but more eye-opening for me, I began to realize just how naive I’ve been. He uncovered for me the marketing that has actually pulled me into buying information. And I have…because like everyone else out there, I want to create, share and be compensated for it.
While I’d prefer that Mr. Shea spend less time on marketing and more on what the trends are in terms of creating a successful book, I still learned so much. I’d like to explore the less-than-high-standards of self-publishing because I’ve wasted lots of money on information that was rife with poor grammar and spelling. Do people even care about this in today’s marketplace? I guess I have several questions because I wouldn’t have the audacity to put out there what I’ve seen people get by with putting out there….Ironically enough, these people unconcerned with grammar are getting paid. Now it’s my turn to put something together and put it out there…I will, however, do so by creating a pseudonym and by writing something worth reading too.
Thanks, Mr. Shea. Please continue to teach. I’d suggest that you divide this course into two:
1. The fundamentals and basics of ebook writing/ideas/trends/etc.
2. Marketing
I want to go the Kindle route because I already have a full-time job. So I am in search of a simpler way to do this.
Thanks,
TCPW
