About This CourseBeginner

This fiction writing course will provide you with high quality and in-depth writing lessons to help you write and publish your first novel.

There are four things that we are going to talk about in this course. The first is how to get started. We’ll start from the very beginning and talk about where to get ideas, how to get your story going, and the best tools you should use that will make writing and formatting your book a breeze.

Then we’ll talk about how to get your story finished. Writing a novel is a huge challenge, and I’ll provide some tips and tricks that will make sure you get that first draft completed.

After we’ve gotten through our first draft, we’ll go over how to polish your book to perfection, and how and where to find editors. I’ll even provide a sample template you can use that should save you a lot of time in finding the right editor for you.

Finally, we’ll cover how to get your book and to all of the four major online bookstores. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, and Kobo. As well as how to distribute your book even further.

Here’s what will be covered in this course:

  • An Introduction to Writing
  • Where to Get Ideas
  • Creating Plots
  • Story Beats
  • The Magic Story Formula
  • Advanced “Tricks”
  • Writing Schedules
  • Grammar and Style Tips

    Fiction Writing
Very thorough course on writing fiction made a lot of steps easier to approach. Very enjoyable lessons

Fiction Writing:Write and Publish Your First Novel
Loved the way he explained the information, however I think it would be even better with a list of sites, and pricing for different services, in the book publishing process. Otherwise, this was a great course. I love the way he gave examples of how to come up with ideas for book ideas. Very entertaining, without trying. Would definitely recommend!

  3. Tabatha Mahan says:

Very glad I took this course!
This was extremely informative. I feel much more knowledgeable regarding the writing and publishing process than before I took the course. The self publishing information was invaluable. If I had to make a suggestion, I'd say to add more information on how to make your novel available at bookstores. But this class is amazing as is. I would take other courses taught by Ryan. Thank you!
