This helped me in supporting my Power BI colleagues
I work in the IT department. Our Power BI group had a leadership change. They needed help to understand how Power BI was used in our environment. I became the go-to guy for them. This course gave me the basic structural background to be able to carry on a conversation with that team and begin to know what they were talking about and how I could be of service.
Recommended.
Power BI Basics
I enjoyed POWER BI ESSENTIALS: AN INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT POWER BI. The course is designed well, covering all of the topics in a much better, more intuitive and progressive learning order than another beginner course on SS, where so much time was spent on transforming data. Grant is a great communicator – very good pace and thoughtful and deliberate in language in highlighting important points. I took each section slowly and did my own examples in Power BI while also following along with his. It was great to be able to stop and replay – as again – the instructions are solid. The course is over 3 years old so some of the current features of Power BI are different from the training. Most of them were not drastically different, requiring small guesses to understand the nuanced differences. Only the security part for assigning roles, etc. was more significantly different, so I will use another newer source to learn that. Essentially, security is now all done through Workspaces directly.
Great Overview
Great overview of Power BI and good pointers on best practices
Fabulous Course
I have been working my way through various Power BI tutorials on various websites as I try to gain knowledge and skills in the product. I even took a couple of 1-day classroom courses directly from Microsoft. Had I seen this course sooner, I could have been much more productive much sooner! It is very well organized and expertly covers all the essential skills needed to create and effectively share business intelligence information. My only criticism is that in 2019 the course is 2 years old and, thus, does not cover any features added in the interim (and there are a LOT!). Even so, I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to efficiently work through the magic of Power BI!!!
Power BI
Gives a good foundation of Power BI functions and uses.
