Ableton live 10 part three: Producing and Editing

Again this section is good. It goes through how to edit certain things, I would say there is less detail than in the first video which touched on some of these topics which made this less useful than the first video, but it was still helpful.

  3. Brian Calkins

This is an excellent introduction the production and edition techniques in Ableton Live. It starts by going through the essential techniques of editing using the Arrangement View and then follows with how to perform the same techniques using Session View including how to record to the Arrangement View from the Session View. It then goes into the details of how to use and create Beats using samples, loops, and drum racks (including how to create your own drum racks). The course then goes into how to use Live’s synths and audio effects; covering general principles rather than the individual units. The course then finishes up with a few advanced techniques on side-chaining, routing and bussing, and resampling.

This course is full of information that is absolutely essential for the beginner and also contains a lot of information for experienced producers who are new to Ableton Live.
