For years I’ve been teaching Ableton Live in the college classroom. As a University Professor, my classes are sought after, and, frankly, expensive. In this class, we are going to focus on using Ableton Live for DJing and Performing. I’m assuming that you already know your way around Ableton Live pretty well, and now you want to take your techniques to the stage. Universally Useful
Learned a lot about how to map midi devices for my own Sets, and I use Live for the opposite of DJing at the time of writing this—recording acoustic guitar and vocals on 2 mics, that’s it. Taking these courses has been kind of like taking a gun to a knife fight in that regard, but the ability to apply these advanced elements to the more rudimentary DAW functions of Live is a testament to the program’s versatility and this instructor(s) ability to deliver massive amounts of information in a comprehensible format.

I found this class very useful and full of helpful tips, even though I am not interested in working as a DJ. I want to use Live for creating live loops as well as composing and improvising. The techniques shown here will be very useful, and it was inspiring to see how a DJ uses the tools available.
