About the Instructor:
Larry Aiello
I am an Italian-American living in Florida. I grew up speaking Italian at home and developed a love for the Italian language at a very young age as we would travel back-and-forth every year to visit my family and friends.
Early on I realized that knowing another language is indeed a gift. It allows you to have relationships and friendships that you never otherwise would have had. It also allows you to travel and enjoy various cultures and new experiences.
During my stint as President of one of the Sons of Italy organizations, I was asked to teach Italian to many of the members. So I put together a little instructional course and it went over well.
Over the years I’ve continued to teach Italian and recently put together an in-person course where I’ve used the proceeds to raise money for a local charity. The course has gotten many good reviews and I also get good reviews from my Italian lessons through my local meetup group.
I’ve utilized many of the same techniques from my in-person classes in this video series.
I love sharing my knowledge of Italian and Italy with others. That is why I’ve put together this course to help others learn the Italian language and improve their lives.
Buon Viaggio!

Conversational Italian for Beginners
A very well presented course in Italian. Larry taught at a steady pace and with enthusiasm for the Italian language and culture.
Easy to understand, wish the last few sections were more in depth
Overall I think this is a great course. Larry spoke at a good pace and gave a good introduction to Italian learning. The last few sections were informative about traveling in Italy, but I would rather learn more key Italian conversational phrases than about traveling tips. I think people can research those on their own. I would suggest taking those sections out and putting in a few more sections on conversing. That would make the course perfetto!
Good Basics
I always wanted to learn Italian. This is a good start for it. You won’t be fluent by any means, but you learn a solid foundation.
Well Worth My Time and Money
I really enjoyed this beginner Italian lesson, and have learned so much. Larry does a great job of explaining, and breaking down the lessons in such a way that it is easy to remember. I’m was pleasantly surprised that there is a section that goes over Italian culture, and some important things to note when you are visiting Italy. This is so important because you really can’t learn a foreign language without understanding the culture. I very highly recommend this course.
Great introuction to Italian. Not too easy, not too hard.
