Great Beginner Class
My husband and I are starting a YouTube channel with our meat smoking adventures, I needed to learn how to edit quickly. I’ve messed with “free” video editing software before, but honestly had no idea what I was doing and ended up frustrated. Bryan did a fantastic job covering the basics, and made it super easy to follow and understand. The courses are short, so there’s no getting overwhelmed with a bunch of stuff that you’re not ready for, but they’re long enough that you can grasp the basic concepts. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn basic video editing. Two thumbs up.

I’m new to video editing, so I found this perfect. I had just recently downloaded Shotcut before finding this course and I was looking up YouTube tutorials, which I seemed to get, but when trying to use it on Shotcut, I failed to remember how it was supposed to be done. This course definitely covers the basic of editing like cutting videos, layering, audio and video filters, and b roll. Very useful tips. I feel confident now on how to do basic editing, not just on Shotcut, but in general. Like he mentioned, once you know the basics, you can learn and add new things to your “arsenal” later.
